Delia Lopez Holloway, Alamogordo is recognized for her vivid coloring and interpretative abstract style on canvas. Most of her showcased creations are abstracts and interpretative portraits of beautiful women that are vivid coloring, deep in expression translate raw emotion and energy onto the canvas. Her works have been featured on the cover of NMSU Magazine and are found in both private and public collections throughout the Southwest.
Marty Torrez, La Luz evolved from 33 years as a visual merchandizer, makeup artist and dancer to professionally trained artist receiving her degree from NMSU. He works include mixed media paintings utilizing texture colors and a variety of textiles against canvas creating a multi-dimensional prospective of color, texture and pure happiness bouncing to the viewer from the canvas. Mrs. Torrez’s expansive works are ever evolving and expanding with fans the world over.
Rene Sepulveda, former award winning, NCAA Track and Field Coach turned author and artist is the resident artist of Roadrunner Emporium and Fine Arts Gallery. He is recognized for his nod to his Native American heritage in utilizing the natural elements of tree roots, fallen tree trunks, recycled metals and elements found in nature and reimagining them into abstract sculptured art that is highly collectible and prized. Several recent pieces have been purchased by collectors in London, Paris, Santa Fe and Mexico. Peruvian Arts and Culture Critic, Martin Durant, in a recent review commented that , “Rene Sepulveda is the foremost abstract natural artist in textured layers, color and design to come out of the Southwest US in the last decade.”
